Here is an elegant branching plant  with neat sturdy leaves and with  spires of sky blue flowers  - good for the back of a border. Make sure the soil where you plant is really well drained - all salvias hate winter wet feet.

And don't panic in the spring - your plant will look like a mess of dead twigs but growth will appear in late April/May and will quickly resume normal service!
